September Proclaimed as Literacy Month

We are very excited to announce that September has been proclaimed as Literacy Month here in Fort St. John! #Literacy #LiteracyisLife#LiteracyMatters #FosterLiteracy
The Literacy is Life Campaign will run through the month of September with 3 main goals:
- To raise awareness of the importance of literacy for all British Columbians
- Raise awareness about community-based resources
- Raise funds to support community-based literacy programs and initiatives
On September 8th the Cultural Centre & Library will light up in purple to celebrate International Literacy Day. We encourage everyone to wear purple throughout the month of September in support of literacy awareness, and use the following social media hashtags when posting pictures #PutYourPurpleOn #ILD2018 #LiteracyMatters #LiteracyIsLife
